Black Park Country Park Cafe, Slough

The application was prepared to demonstrate compliance with national Green Belt Policy as an appropriate facility for outdoor recreation.  Full planning permission was granted in July 2024 following approval by planning committee members.  The building was competed quickly as a result of the modular construction, and opened to the public in April 2025. The new café replaces a former refreshment kiosk, and includes internal and external seating areas, a takeaway hatch, and improved toilet facilities.  The café is a net zero carbon building, with power provided by roof mounted solar panels and air source heat pumps.
