Newport Pagnell

Planning permission obtained for office building and 100 bedroom hotel in Newport Pagnell alongside resolution to grant outline planning permission for 60 residential units. Substantially reduced S106 and affordable housing contributions following detailed discussion with the Council and presentation of a viability assessment.

The hotel will replace an existing hotel on the site, and the office will be a new headquarters for our client who will relocate from within the town.  The permission completes the Northern Expansion Area (Redhouse Park) and allows for bus and pedestrian links to Newport Pagnell.

Smith Jenkins led negotiations with the Council and engaged with the Parish Council at an early stage who supported the planning application. We are currently working with the company’s development partners to discharge planning conditions. Welcome Break intend to move into the new office in late 2015.
