Providing 462 units in a landmaker 48-storey building close to Snow Hill Train Station, when constructed, this will be the tallest building within the City.
Working alongside Metropolitan Workshop, we made the case that the site is within the tall building area as identified with the Local Plan and therefore there was a strategic justification for the proposals. The application was subsequently approved by Members noting that the design quality of the scheme outweighed any harm identified by Historic England.
We subsequently advised on the design approach and how it included design cues to the rotunda and other iconic modernist buildings within the City.
