Smith Jenkins provided planning and heritage consultancy services to achieve full planning permission for a bespoke self-build dwelling in Milton Keynes.
The dwelling, designed by Benchmark Architects, will introduce a low impact contemporary property in the grounds of a Grade II listed building in a beautiful village location.
A detailed Heritage Statement set out the justification for development of the site. The full application was approved following two rounds of pre-application discussions with the Council.
The application was approved under delegated powers as a self-build with exemption from Biodiversity Net Gain, although the proposals were supported by a detailed landscaping scheme to deliver improvements to the site.
The property will provide a high quality, sustainable dwelling to meet the future needs of the clients.
