Smith Jenkins are Expanding their Planning Team

We are very pleased to welcome Gill Eaton to our team. Gill will be based in the London office and will be acting for clients mainly in the South East.

Gill has extensive experience in planning in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Smith Jenkins, Gill worked in London for 16 years in the consultancy sector with three London firms; Turley, Montagu Evans (in the heritage team) and Dalton Warner Davis. She has also recently gained further experience with St. Albans City and District Council.

During her time at Turley and Montagu Evans, Gill worked on a range of projects mainly involving residential, mixed use and heritage schemes for a wide range of developers and private individuals with a particular focus on sites within Westminster, Hampstead, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond. She has also undertaken numerous schemes in outer London boroughs. She often works with barristers, solicitors and architects, and has extensive experience in collating the project team and managing the application process to address the planning issues arising.

Gill trained at Dalton Warner Davis where she spent 10 years developing her expertise on a range of schemes mainly in the London sector of residential /mixed use / heritage led projects. This training also included three years in the major infrastructure team working on gas storage, power station and related major projects.

Whilst at St Albans Planning Department, Gill has also been involved in processing a full range of planning and listed building consent applications, pre-application response letters and planning appeals. She has continued to work on schemes with a heritage focus, including applications for works to Grade II* and Grade II listed buildings; extensive involvement in corporate projects with a heritage focus and schemes involving sites in the various Conservation Areas in the District.
