Jennifer established Smith Jenkins in 2012 after working at Hepher Dixon and Savills. She has worked on a wide variety of schemes from individual houses to large-scale complex projects across a range of sectors.  She has specific experience in the education sector, having led successful teams on five school projects in the last 12 months.

Jennifer has particular expertise in co-ordinating complex planning applications on behalf of contractors, designed to enable a timely start on site to ensure that the project meets specific programme deadlines.

Jennifer actively works alongside a wide range of architectural practices.  She has a good knowledge of current planning legislation, including design policies.  She works actively across the home counties regions.  As a result she regularly works in Green Belt and countryside locations, as well as in New Towns, and more traditional urban settings.

In 2020, 2021 and 2024 Jennifer was named as Planner ‘Woman of Influence’.
