The Prime Minister today announced that office to residential permitted development rights were to be made permanent. This was part of a wider announcement on the Housing and Planning Bill. The announcement can be viewed here.
We have spoken to DCLG this afternoon and they were unable to confirm the timescales for these new rights to be extended. We have been told:
“We are developing the detail of the rights and further information will be provided in due course.”
It is once again a case of watch this space!
