Jonathan Greenberg

Jonathan is an experienced town planner and Associate Director at Smith Jenkins, with over 12 years’ experience working on residential and mixed-use development across the UK. His career has included roles in planning consultancy, strategic land and property development, giving him a broad understanding of the planning process from initial site appraisal through to planning applications, appeals and delivery.

Jonathan began his career at WYG, now Tetra Tech, before joining Welbeck Strategic Land, where he managed residential planning applications and supported the acquisition and promotion of development sites. He later joined PRP Architects, progressing to Associate Planner and advising national housebuilders on a range of urban and rural developments. Between 2019 and 2024, Jonathan worked at Woolbro Group, where he was responsible for progressing residential projects ranging from 20 flats to 150 homes. He subsequently established his own planning consultancy, advising developers, landowners and private clients on site appraisals, planning strategy, applications and appeals.

Jonathan joined Smith Jenkins in 2026. He is experienced in developing planning strategies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and guiding projects through the planning process from the early design stages through to determination and post-consent matters.
