Mike Worthington

Mike is a Chartered Town Planner and Director at Smith Jenkins, bringing over 15 years of private sector experience to the company. He holds a Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham. Prior to joining Smith Jenkins in 2026, Mike spent his career in London at DP9 Limited and Dara Planning.

Specialising in urban brownfield regeneration, Mike has advised on a broad spectrum of commercial, residential, hotel, mixed-use, and industrial developments. He has particular expertise navigating complex schemes within central London boroughs, including the City of London, Westminster, Islington, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Mike manages large multi disciplinary teams, guiding projects from pre application strategy through to planning determination and post consent implementation.
