Belgrave Place, London
Listed Building Consent for the refurbishment of two flats within a Grade II listed terrace of townhouses to bring them back into active use and meeting modern living standards.
The flats had been out of use for a number of decades, and the project involved alterations to them to bring them back into active use and create high-quality residences befitting their central London location. The scheme also provided the opportunity to make improvements to the spaces to better reflect the age and significance of the listed terrace. We were brought onto the project at an early stage, and were able to use our in-depth understanding of the significance of the listed building, and the contribution of the flats to this, to work closely with the client and design team throughout the project and achieve a sensitive scheme for their refurbishment. We led on communication with Westminster officers through the pre-application and application process, and our pro-active approach and informed advice led to the securement of Listed Building Consent.
